Got Skype?

As I am now in a long distance relationship with the boyfriend, Skype has become a tool that is vital to us. Skype is this wonderful, free program you can download and come face to face with someone far away through the use of a web cam! It's amazing, simply amazing.

It's a time for the girls who haven't seen their significant other in a while to get all dolled up and look cute for their guys and a chance for the guys to swivel in their computer chairs and toss a ball at the wall while appeasing the girlfriends. It's a great thing! So as I sit chatting away about my day, any fun fact of the day or talk of how much I miss him, he can just sit there and grin and bear it, because now I can see his real expression!

However, it can be a very fun tool to use to keep things fresh and to keep you feeling close when you aren't. I know that I personally miss actually seeing him and that is the hardest part, so this tool really helps limit that and I can see that he is actually ok!

So instead of waiting around to set up a date in person, set up a Skype date to help keep you connected. Pour a glass of wine, or for the guys, grab a cold beer, and pull up the chair to the desk to have a nice night with some conversation, a couple of laughs together, and a chance to see just how lucky you are to have someone willing to give you a couple of hours over the computer!
